We are a small kennel located just north of the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex. We have always had Australian Cattle dogs since the 1980’s, however Sherri did not get into the showing and purebred registered Australian Cattle Dogs until 2002. Prior to that she exhibited purebred Angus and Charolais show cattle for 10 years, and purebred and commercial Suffolk club lambs. In addition to her cattle and sheep exhibiting, Sherri was a professional dog groomer for 9 years and has groomed nearly every breed that is shown in the AKC. Currently we are showing and campaigning the foundation for our kennel. Our emphasis is on temperament, herding ability and structural correctness. All health clearances are extremely important and all breeding prospects will be BAER hearing tested, CERF’d, OFA for Hips , and PRCD testing for PRA. Each puppy raised at Straight Arrow will have the highest quality veterinary care 24 hours a day before they arrive at their new homes. Sherri Swanton is a licensed Texas veterinarian and practices mixed animal medicine in Sanger, Texas. Her dogs are very important to her and do not spend their lives in a kennel situation, but rather with her in the house. She finds that this interaction with her dogs is crucial in determining which animals have the most ideal temperaments to be used in her breeding program.
